Manufacture of industrial storage silos: Metal silos made of steel, aluminum or stainless steel and flexible silos made of Trevira® fabric

The collection of products can be done in bags or industrial hoppers. But when it is necessary to collect raw materials in large quantities, we recommend the use of our metal, stainless steel or Trevira® fabric silos.

At Prillwitz we provide customized solutions for the storage of products and their feeding to the production line. We have different unloading, transportation and sifting systems for dry products, depending on the product you want to process. We can also provide dispensers, mills for granulated products and state-of-the-art scales that guarantee rigorous production control.

Types of silos that we can supply

We have the solution to your dry goods storage problem. You can choose between the following silo alternatives, specially designed to store dry bulk products:

1- Bolted metal silos for indoor or outdoor use

2- Flexible Trevira® fabric silos for indoor use

3- Metal silos for outdoor use

1- Bolted metal silos for indoor or outdoor use

Bolted silos are characterized by being widely versatile in terms of their capacity and geometry (square and circular).

They are normally used indoors, but can be made outdoors if condensation does not cause problems for the stored product.

Silos can be supplied from 2 to 300 tons of capacity.

Its construction can be made of carbon or stainless steel according to the need.

2-Flexible Trevira® fabric silos for indoor use

Trevira® flexible fabric silos have been specially designed to simplify storage and unloading operations for dry bulk products. Our fabric silos have the advantage of being easily dismantled and having a square section, which allows them to be used in small spaces where the assembly of circular silos would be impossible.

Flexible Silos

It is a silo suitable for the storage of raw materials that finds application in industries as diverse as the chemical, plastic, milling, balanced food industries, etc.

The Trevira fabric has high resistance and certain permeability, preserving the quality of the product through gas exchange between the interior of the silo and the outside environment.

Storage capacity: 2 to 30 tons.

3- Metal silos for outdoor use

Designed to be located in outdoor spaces, our silos are manufactured under a meticulous production process to achieve 100% watertightness.

They can be built in different steels and with a capacity to store between 20 and 300 tons.

Its application is unlimited: it can be used as a flour silo in flour mills, pasta factories and bakeries, for the storage of other types of flour in other industries and for the collection of plastic and chemical materials involved in the production process.

How do we avoid moisture condensation in silos?

Humidity inside silos can fundamentally cause 2 types of problems:

a- That moisture in the interior atmosphere condenses and forms water. This occurs because the dew temperature is reached at some time of the day or year and the product does not have the capacity to absorb it.

b- That moisture in the interior atmosphere is absorbed by the product and deteriorates it or forms clods and lumps that prevent unloading from the silo or its subsequent use. This occurs with hygroscopic products, including sugar, some plastics, chlorides such as table salt, etc.

To avoid humidity, we place “Dehumidifiers”. These machines remove humidity from the environment, not allowing the dew temperature to be reached and therefore water condensation to occur.

For the installation of bulk storage systems, we have the necessary machinery to complete the installation of the silo. Feeding and discharge systems, pneumatic and mechanical conveyors, silo vibrators and fluidizers, dust collectors, cyclones, level indicators and detectors, sieves, mills, rotary valves, etc. are required.
